These materials are provided by Coast Bridge Capital for informational purposes only.  No portion of this commentary is to be construed as an offer, recommendation, or solicitation to buy or sell a security, or the rendering of personalized investment advice.  Investing involves risk, including the potential loss of principal.  Past performance is no guarantee of future results and there can be no assurance the investments or strategies discussed herein will prove profitable.  Any reference to a market index is included for illustrative purposes only, as an index is not a security in which an investment can be made.  All information, views and opinions are subject to change.

The ‘Average Returns By Culture Score Cohort’ illustration is based on a scoring methodology derived from a multivariable regression back-tested over numerous time horizons. This illustration reflects the hypothetical back-tested regression only and does not represent the performance of actual client portfolios. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those discussed. Hypothetical back-tested performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical back-tested performance results and the actual performance results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical back-tested performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight.

The hypothetical back-tested performance which builds our expectations is based on the following assumptions:

  1. The investable universe for the back-test includes stocks listed on the NYSE with prices of at least $5.00 and market cap of at least $500M as of 12/31/23.

  2. The performance shown is for the stated time periods only.

  3. Historical culture scores are assumed to be constant as of December 31, 2023.

  4. Due to market volatility, each account's performance may be different.

  5. The returns shown do not assume the reinvestment of dividends and other income.

  6. The returns shown do not include the deduction of management fees and brokerage expenses.

  7. The returns do not take into account slippage which may be incurred when actual investments are made.

  8. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results.

  9. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical back-tested performance results and all of which can adversely affect actual trading results.
